Smoked Sausage Chili


A warm meal perfect for a cold day!

What You Need

  • 1 1/2 lbs John Morrell Smoked Sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 c onion, chopped
  • 1 c celery, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 10 oz can diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 1 c beer or water, room temperature
  • 2 tsps chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • salt and pepper (to taste)


  1. Place all ingredients in 4-quart slow cooker; mix gently.
  2. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 3-5 hours on low heat until smoked sausage is tender.

10 minutes prep, 3-5 hours slow cooking
