Welcome to My Home Base, your personalized community guide to military life, shopping, and events on-base and outside the gates!
4/8: All self-quarantined are now back to work. No call outs. Visitors are still banned. Waiver letters have been issued by command for those individuals living in hot zones. Command closed the Ascend federal credit union on base. Social distancing is being implemented as much as allowable by dimensional constraints. Every other register is being used. COVID-specific sanitation is being performed and logged. 4/21: DeCA Conditional Entry signs are now at both entry points. Base Command has coordinated a small donation of cloth masks for those individuals that do not have a mask to still be able to shop. 4/23: Effective 4/21 - Security Forces will start turning people around at the gate that don't have face covers. 5/28: Col. Geraghty sent an email on 22 May, outlining the plan on how to "Return to Full Capacity". The 3-step program is tentatively to begin on 1 June. There are certain mileposts that the local community has to reach in terms of COVID trends. HPCON Charlie will remain in effect until the second stage. 7/9: Effective 6/23 - There is no conditional entry based on previous locations travelled. We no longer have to escort delivery drivers. The requirement for wavier letters has also been rescinded. Minor change on 11 June - the only two questions being asked by the gate guards now are: international travel? and diagnosed with COVID? All other questions have been stopped. 8/24: New sign out front of base saying that entry is contingent on the commanders COVID policy. The gate personnel now ask if we are aware of the policy and if we are complying to it. This has essentially eliminated the long lines for access.
