Chicken Pear Salad with Bleu Cheese


Pears and blue cheese are a perfect tasting pair – this impressively quick and colorful main dish salad can be dressed up with walnuts and additional blue cheese.

What You Need

  • 6 cups mixed salad greens [or chopped Romaine]
  • ½ cup bottled reduced-fat or regular blue cheese salad dressing
  • 1¼ cups sliced cooked chicken
  • 1 yellow or green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (15oz.) Del Monte® Lite Sliced Pears, drained
  • chopped walnuts, toasted, optional
  • ¼ cup (1oz.) crumbled blue cheese, optional
  • Coarsely ground black pepper, optional


  1. ARRANGE greens equally on 4 dinner plates.
  2. SPOON equal amounts of dressing evenly over greens.
  3. TOP with chicken, bell pepper and pears. Sprinkle evenly with walnuts, blue cheese and black pepper, if desired.
