Apple Walnut Salad


This wholesome salad is a lovely variation to the Waldorf salad. For health awareness, apples are a good source of fiber and vitamins A & C, and also a powerful anti-oxidant.

What You Need

Apple Walnut Salad


  1. Preheat oven to 300°. In a small bowl, mix together the Worcestershire Sauce, butter and nuts. Lightly toss until well-coated and set aside for 3 to 4 minutes. Place nuts on a small baking pan and bake for 15 minutes, stirring halfway. Set aside to cool.
  2. In a large bowl, dissolve orange drink powder in 1 Tbsp. of water. Stir in mayonnaise until well blended. Add apples, celery, raisins and nuts, and toss lightly. Cover and chill until ready to serve.
  3. Tip: Use a mixture of red and golden delicious apples, or your personal favorites. Substitute raisins with dried pineapple or apricots if desired. Use low fat mayonnaise or sandwich spread for a reduced calorie dish.
