Brisk Braised Brisket Sandwiches

What You Need

  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 4 lbs. boneless beef brisket
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 cups Brisk® Sweet Tea
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 Kaiser rolls, toasted, if desired

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°.
  2. Season beef with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in large Dutch oven over medium-high heat and brown beef on all sides. Remove brisket from Dutch oven and set aside.
  3. Cook onion in same Dutch oven, stirring frequently, until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds. Stir in Brisk® Sweet Tea, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a boil. Return beef to Dutch oven. Bake covered until beef is very easily pierced with a fork, about 3 hours. Remove beef and let stand before thinly slicing, about 10 minutes.
  4. Skim fat from sauce, then stir in beef. Serve on rolls.
