Easy Crunchy Cheez-It® Chicken Tenders


If you like the satisfying real cheese taste of Sunshine® Cheez-It® crackers, you’ll love these tender bits of chicken coated with buttermilk and the crispy crackers!

What You Need

  • 1 cup low-fat buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless chicken breast tenders
  • 4 cups Sunshine® Cheez-It® Original Crackers Buy Now
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil


  1. In shallow dish whisk together buttermilk, mustard and red pepper. Place crushed SUNSHINE CHEEZ-IT Original Crackers on piece of wax paper.
  2. Place wire rack on baking sheet. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  3. Dip chicken into buttermilk mixture. Roll in crackers, gently pressing crumbs onto chicken. Place in single layer on wire rack. Drizzle with oil. Place wire rack on baking sheet in oven. Bake, uncovered, at 400° F for 18 to 20 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink. Serve warm.
