Steak with Red Wine & Mushrooms


Easy, yet elegant with Swanson® Flavor Boost™

What You Need

  • 4 beef tenderloin steaks, 1/2-inch thick (about 1 1/4 pounds)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 package (8 ounces) mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 packets Swanson® Flavor Boost™ Concentrated Sweet Onion & Burgundy Wine Flavor Blend
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves


  1. Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on both sides, 5 minutes for medium or until desired doneness. Remove the beef from the skillet, cover and keep warm.
  2. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in the flavor blend and water and heat to a boil. Spoon the mushroom mixture over the beef.
