French Dip Dumplings

Summary

French dip is always a favorite choice, but our version is not only easy, but creative and delicious too! Refrigerated biscuits encase a savory filling of deli roast beef sautéed in a French onion soup mixture and shredded cheese. They’re baked until golden and ready for dipping in the reserved French onion soup. Bottom line....they’re super tasty!

What You Need

French Dip Dumplings

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Heat the soup and water in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium.
  3. Add the beef and cook for 5 minutes or until the mixture is hot.
  4. Pat or roll the biscuit dough into 8 (5-inch) circles.
  5. Using a slotted spoon, spoon the beef in the centers of the dough circles (Reserve the soup mixture and keep warm).
  6. Sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons cheese.
  7. Gather the sides of the dough circles up to the center over the filling to form a pouch and twist to seal.
  8. Place the dumplings onto a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes or until the dumplings are golden-brown.
  10. Serve with the reserved soup mixture for dipping.
