What You Need
Set aside fruit, butter and lemon juice and tapioca. Combine all remaining ingredients in medium size sauce pan and bring to boiling. Cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Add fruit, lemon juice and butter. Continue to cook until thickened. If mixture is too thin, you may add the reserved tapioca and continue to cook for 2-4 minutes. *For cream cheese spread: Blend with hand mixer until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture over fried dough, top with peach compote and garnish with powdered sugar and caramel. Serve warm.
