What You Need
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
1 3/4 cups milk
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 cup finely crushed Lay’s® Kettle Cooked Jalapeño Chips, divided
2 green onions, finely chopped
1/2 cup Fritos® Jalapeño Cheddar Flavored Cheese Dip
1 cup guacamole, for serving
1 cup salsa, for serving
1/2 cup sour cream, for serving
Whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, paprika, salt and pepper. In separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and melted butter until blended; stir into flour mixture until just combined.
Fold in 1/2 cup crushed chips and green onions. Drizzle dip over top; fold in until incorporated. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Ladle or pour heaping 1/2 cup batter into waffle iron to cover about two-thirds of the grid surface. Close lid; cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until steam stops emerging from waffle iron and waffles are golden brown and crisp.
Sprinkle waffles with remaining crushed chips. Serve with guacamole, salsa and sour cream.
Tip: Alternatively, for sweet and savory waffles, top with maple syrup and crumbled bacon.
