Blackberry & Sage Gin Fizz


Perfect for both cocktail parties and casual gatherings, this attractive and refreshing sparkler can be made easily without the gin, if preferred.

What You Need

  • 1 bottle (14 oz) Pure Leaf® Tea House Organic Black Tea, Wild Blackberry & Sage Flavor
  • 1/3 cup superfine or granulated sugar
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 24 fresh blackberries
  • 3 cans (7.5 oz each) chilled Mist Twst®, Lemon Lime Flavor
  • 8 oz gin
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • Sugared Sage Leaves:
  • 1 egg white
  • 6 fresh sage leaves
  • 4 tsp superfine sugar


  1. In small saucepan, bring tea and sugar to boil over high heat, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Refrigerate until chilled.
  2. Sugared Sage Leaves: Meanwhile, beat egg white until frothy; lightly brush over sage leaves just to moisten. Sprinkle with sugar to coat. Let dry on parchment or waxed paper–lined plate.
  3. Add sliced lime and half of the blackberries to large pitcher; crush together using end of wooden spoon. Add soda, gin, lime juice and chilled black tea syrup; stir in ice cubes. Divide among 6 chilled cocktail glasses.
  4. Garnish with Sugared Sage Leaves and remaining blackberries.

If preferred, replace egg white with 2 tbsp pasteurized liquid egg white.
