Monterey county, California Homeless Veterans Stand Down 2012 is scheduled to take place in Salinas, CA on June 19-21, 2012. This event is FREE and offers a ton of great services to our brave men and women of the military. All military veterans regardless of discharge status are welcome to join in on the FREE offers. As a homeless veteran you have the opportunity to have an awesome hot meal, clean clothes, counseling, legal services, health services, help with VA claims and housing services.
There will be live music and all the yummy food you can fit in your tummy. This event will provide our veterans with:
- Reviewing military records old and new.
- Vet services for their pets.
- Requesting discharge upgrades.
- Chaplain services.
- Explaining all programs that are available to them.
- Referrals for housing.
- Counseling to help them improve their situation.
- Networking with fellow veterans.
- Taking pride in the great country they served.

This event is a great way for everyone to say two simple words to our veterans, Thank You!
(Please note anyone is welcome to volunteer you do not need to be military personal or a family member, all volunteers are welcome.)
