Super Bowl Appetizer: Bacon Spinach Parmesan Balls

27 Jan 2012

Super Bowl Sunday is not that far away and now's the time to start getting those list of snacks to munch in front of the flat screen together.

Here is one of my tried and true recipes that I brought to a past Super Bowl party.

* Remember to measure ingredients out for the amount of people you are serving...the sizes I am listing will serve 2-3 meatballs per person for about 15 people.*

Ingredients:
2 packs of frozen spinach thawed in microwave and drained
2-3 cloves of fresh garlic chopped finely
1 onion chopped fine
garlic powder
salt
black pepper
1 cup of italian herb breadcrumbs
1 box of stouffers herb stuffing
a few slices of bacon sliced chopped and semi cooked
1 egg
1 back of Kraft 5 Italian Cheeses

Preparation:
 1. Open packs of spinach and place in a bowl in the microwave on defrost setting. When done remove from microwave and drain excess liquid.

2. Begin to sautee your bacon and onions until onions are clear and bacon is almost cooked. Bacon will fully cook in oven.

3. Add bacons and onions to bowl of spinach and begin adding chopped garlic , and all the remaining ingredients.

4. Begin to form balls as if you were making meatballs and place on a baking pan.

5. Bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until cooked all the way through.

Serve and Enjoy!
